Welcome to Miami Beach
The jewel of South Florida and a top beach destination
Miami Beach and South Beach are among the most coveted places in the world, thanks to their recognizable art déco architecture, almost year-round ideal weather, sugary beaches, outstanding dining options, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. The area has undergone numerous natural and artificial modifications over the years to take its current shape and is home to a diverse array of cultural amenities and attractions.
South Beach is the southernmost neighborhood of Miami Beach, lying just south of Miami Beach’s central business district. The area is home to several famous hotels, such as The Delano, the Fontainebleau, and the Eden Roc. Miami Beach is a popular home for those who value an active lifestyle, and places like South Pointe Park and North Shore Open Space Park give residents ample opportunities to enjoy their time outdoors.
The predominant home architecture in both Miami Beach and South Beach is Art Deco, a style of architecture popular in the 1920s and 1930s whose color palettes and distinctive features highlight the town's lovely tropical atmosphere. Many of the buildings in South Beach were designed by famous architects, such as Henry Hohauser and L. Murray Dixon, and there is a diverse array of housing options. For example, the northern and central parts of Miami Beach offer communities with lavish single-family houses, while South Beach offers prestigious high-rise condos.
